This book is a collection of step-by-step tutorials, so it is intended to be read and followed page by page. To navigate the book, you can choose a topic in the "Table Of Contents", use the "next page" and "previous page" buttons or select a page number from the jump menu

By clicking a text link or a question mark pictogram you jump to a comment or related topic. To resume reading, use the "history back" button at the top of the "system bar" (vertical panel to your left).

To control the embedded movies, you use the "playback", "pause" and "rewind" buttons. You navigate a movie clip, by clicking on its progress bar (upper screenshot). The numbers on the bar refer to corresponding text paragraphs. After selecting a fragment, click "playback" to resume playing the movie.

Important! To play the movies you need Macromedia Flash Player 6 or above. If you can't see a red stripe after this word       click here to get Flash Player from the Macromedia web server. The installation process takes 2 minutes or less with a 56 K modem.

To search the book, click the "magnifying glass" button in the system bar. Use the "full text search" form to find a required topic in the book; then click on the highlighted paragraph to read it (lower screenshot). To print out current page, click the "print" button in the system bar.
